Having spent most of my weekend in (virtual) Eastern Europe of the 60s, I thought I just post some screenshots. As I could not find any AI-traffic from that era, with very few exceptions, I am going to post some timetables later that I did myself. Malev Il-18 at UUEE Tarom Il-18 at LRBS

Very nice indeed! I assume it is the Hvatkin Il-18? Full sets of timetables of the time are available at the Airline Timetable Images website for Aeroflot (Winter '61-'62; '64 & '68); CSA of Czechoslovakia ('59 & '66); Deutsche Lufthansa/Interflug ('62 & '67); JAT of Yugoslavia ('63); LOT of Poland ('63); Malev of Hungary ('61); TABSO of Bulgaria ('62) and Tarom of Rumania ('62), if these are of any use to you - www.timetableimages.com/ttimages/complete/complete.htmRegards, Nikko

You are right: The Plane is the Hvatkin. Thanks for the link, but that is exactly where I am already taking them from. When I wrote there is no AI-traffic from that era around, I actually meant that no one before me went through the hassle of typing it down meanwhile I am done with MA (to be uploaded soon), LZ (no IL-14 livery available )and RO (has a bug though , still testing). Interflug is available on flightsim/avsim from a different author. I am currently doing LOT and should be done with it by the end of the week hopefully. CZ to follow later, and maybe even SU (the Tu-104s that you see on the first pic are from this very website btw).

Our 1962 traffic has complete schedules for almost all Eastern European airlines. Not much out there later than that, though.

That's great news, but I don't see that on my screen. Just extracted the 62-timetables with ttools, the fps are there, but not the planes in fs? Heck, I have to find that bug now...

Odd... All the aircraft needed for Eastern Bloc traffic are in the AI Traffic File 3, so if you have that (and judging from the Tu-104 and Tu-114 in the background, you have), you should have all of the traffic.
Are you sure you have your calclassic traffic layers activated in your scenery library?

Keep in mind that the FP's are in GMT, so be sure to be present using GMT.
Hope this helps,

Thanks for the advice. It seems that AI-pack No 3 was not installed properly: at least some planes were missing, while I remember regularly having seen connies which are also included in that pack. Odd in deed . anyway, I re-installed the pack No 3, the other packs should be ok. (The Tu-Jets are actually in pack No 6, that's why they appeared already earlier. Great Job btw! Thanks for all the efforts you guys have put into all these sceneries and traffic! Overlooking UUEE, on a Wednesday morning

Please tell we which UUEE scenery you use?
Greetings Christopher

You can find the scenery on flightsim among the fs2002 sceneries: uuee003.zip and the patch: uueeapd1.zip
I shifted the AFCAD from the CA59 scenery, but it would actually need some more work for a proper backdating. As I am not an expert in this it might take a while.

Hi, Glad you're enjoying it. I don't know if the 1960's terminal at UUEE still has its 1960's appearance in that package, and which one it was (I think I did know this at one time...). If that could be determined, a 1960 scenery layer above that one could be created with files excluding the new stuff. Along with a new AFCAD and perhaps alternate terminal building textures (if required), a backdated UUEE might be possible (much like we backdated the modern St. Louis airport). Hope this helps,

Doing something similar to what you did with STL was my initial plan ;-) the bad news first: The terminal has today not that appearance anymore, and the famous "UFO" will be demolished soon , BUT: In the scenery the terminal (particularly the UFO) has the same appearance as in 1964ish (until roughly 2000), when it was inaugurated. Next door to it there is even the pre 60s terminal modelled, so one could backdate the scenery even further. The terminal textures need an update (backdate), so does the font on the buidlings. But based on pictures I found on the web, the terminal looked pretty much like 1995 back in the 60s. I am not sure about the square building in the middle of below picture though: www.airliners.net/photo/Aeroflot/Ilyushin-Il-86/0145829/M/also while the UFO looks pretty cool in the scenery, the main terminal is not 100% accurate (too tall). www.airliners.net/photo/Aeroflot/Ilyushin-Il-86/0145830/M/&sid=c85e69bab30e7de2532ae2a297425093

Yep, certainly looks possible.

ok, little correction: the yellow building next to the UFO is NOT the old terminal. The latter was a completely different buidling in a completely different place. The US Air Force was kind enough to shoot below pic ;D (either by a U-2 reconnaissance plane or by satellite), it is meant to date from 1966. On the very bottom, at the place of today's Terminal 2 stands the old international terminal. I'll have to model that one myself it seems.
