G'Day All
The TV show, "Ice Pilots" has finally come to our screens here in Adelaide and after only two episodes I'm hooked. (Hope it dosen't turn into "American Chopper" with wings). I've downloaded scenery for Yellowknife and Hay River which are a great improvement over the default offering, except that the "Air Tindi" hangar at Yellowknife is missing on my Vista running system with all sliders to the right. My mate copied my zip file and installed it on his XL machine and all was in place. Am I right to blame Vista ?. I am looking forward to Jens releasing his updated DC-4, as I am cheating with a DC-6b in a Buffalo scheme as the texture I added to the DC-4, turns it transperent when the nav lights are on. lastly, now we REALLY need a C-46 !
Thanks, Trev (vhbob)

Perhaps you need an object library file that contains that hangar, that your friend happens to have already installed? Check the text file for anything else you may have to download.
Things turning transparent at night or with lights usually means that the night textures (ending in _L.bgl) are missing. If so, try adding them from a different livery that has them.
Hope this helps,

Trev - What channel is it on in Adelaide. I live in Brisbane, but am in the US until May 20. What a time to be away. Hopefully I'll catch the last couple of episodes when I return home.

You're missing Sid's Large Hangars
FS2004 (ACOF) - FS2004 Scenery Objects FS2004 Large Hangars SS V2+
Name: large_hangars_ss_v2p.zip Size: 5,249,122 Date: 12-03-2009 Downloads: 578 FS2004 Large Hangars SS V2+. A collection of large hangar scenery objects. Also includes a large and small terminal building, a small hangar with a corner office, an FBO, and a small airmail depot. Each hangar comes in three variations: door fixed open, door fixed closed, and door animated.
Version 2+ adds specific compatibility with Rwy12, ADE9X, and Sbuilder 2.05. If you have already installed the previous version of this library and are not using one of these programs to place scenery objects, you do not need to download and install V2+. V2+ also includes the updated textures from SS_TEXTURES_UPDATE_1.ZIP. Installing V2+ should not affect any scenery made using objects from V2. By Sidney Schwartz.
I've got a Vista system and that's no problems.
Pete.

G'Day All
Thanks for the help, I didn't check back to the forum untill late so I will take advantage of all the good advice in the morning. And to JWH, Ice Pilots is on Geographic channel, 8.30 P.M. your time Sunday nights. They have only shown two episodes out of a supposed 13 so far so you should catch some of it. I am told there will be a DVD released later. When you watch it in sunny Queensland, make sure to rug up well.
Thanks again to all Trev. (vhbob)

G'Day Paul
Great Screen shots. As to the C-46, I was just letting a bit of predjudice show as I am one of those that only fly in the 3D cockpit and assuming that you are using Libomar's Curtiss, I feel that although it is externally one of the best models around, it is let down by it's dated 3D flight deck. Although I really tried to love it, even after deleting the flight crew, a few minuites staring at the fuzzy gagues each time I flew it and I was off to fly something else. I hope that this dosen't sound like too much of a gripe as I am incapable of doing anything as good myself. If you have found a better Commando or a way of improving this one, please let us know.
Thanks Trev. (vhbob)
