I read that the August issue of Airways Magazine ( which is not out yet until June 29 ) will have an article about Mid-Continent Airlines.

Thanks for the headsup Dave. My wife will be interested in that I'm sure. That was her airline. We met while on a flight between Tulsa and Kansas City in September '46. She swept me right off my feet and we married in April '47 at Kelly Field, San Antonio. She is still the number one Stew in my life after sixty-three years of coffee, tea or me.

My next door neighbor when I was growing up was a pilot for Mid-Continent. Probably where my love of airplanes started. His name was Bill Beyersmith, and I thought he was the coolest man in the world. I watched Mid-Continent Convairs fly over my house, and wondered whether it was Bill flying home. I know he flew from Kansas City to Minneapolis.
