Hi, I just uploaded two Ariana Afghan airlines DC-6B to Avsim tonight, the 1959 and 1963 paint schemes. These use the CB-17 Intercontinental engines with spinners, so be sure to put them in the Pan Am DC-6B folder. In the read me file, you will find a schedule for the Kabul-Frankfurt route (Kabul, Kandahar, Tehran, Damascus-call stop-, Beirut, Ankara, Prague, Frankfurt. If you like mountain flying, Afghanistan is your place. In addition, I have forwarded two of the identical paint schemes for AI aircraft to Tom, so he can update the AI traffic. Ariana Afghan only had 1 DC-6B, and it was this ultra high density version. Notice the seats right next to the props...all the way to Frankfurt. No thanks! Here is the 1959 version: Here is the 1963 version: Here is a route system map from 1960: and the timetable: www.timetableimages.com/ttimages/fg6010i.htmhappy flying, Mike

That looks good, I might see it around Frankfurt & Prague but after that I hardly ever fly to the middle east.

I had an older DC-6B model when I uploaded these files, and my kb_reference and model = entries were out of date. Make sure yours looks like this, or at least matches your other entries. There is now no more model "v.2" for the DC-6B. [fltsim.X] title=DC-6B Ariana Afghan 1959 sim=dc6a model= panel= sound= texture=ariana59 kb_checklists=DC6B_check kb_reference=dc6b17_ref atc_id=YA-DAN atc_id_enable=1 ui_manufacturer=Douglas ui_type=DC-6B ui_variation=Ariana Afghan Airlines 1959 description=The DC-6B was generally considered to possess the best operating economics of any piston airliner built. Passengers also appreciated their smooth, quiet ride. Ariana had 2 DC-6B's, and used them throughout their system. atc_airline=Ariana atc_flight_number=201 atc_heavy=0 visual_damage=1 prop_anim_ratio=1.46 atc_parking_types=GATE atc_parking_codes=AFG Right now on Avsim, the 1959 paint scheme is winning over the 1963 paint scheme: 31 to 29 !

Hello Everyone, putting this here instead of opening a new thead Had this little terminal for years on my drives, I got it from the Goggle Skp public files a while back as a *.KMZ, and because I donĀ“t have a reliable version of SKP to modify decided to use some texture tricks with transparencies to convert into *.mdl & backdate...looks good. coming soon, just an extra stop around.. Best!

Thans Juan. Just installed your very nice and quite ample scenery. A further welcomed addition to FS9 classic world. I especially noticed the presence of King Mohammed Zahir Shah and his wife Queen consort Humaira Begum. This shows how carefully you created the scenery. Zahir Shah was the last king of Afghanistan. After a long exile he could return to Afghanistan and did there in 2007.
Curious that Mike Steven's former versions where no more available.
Bernard
PS: Shouldn't the parking space in front of both officials not remain empty? Actually this is used by one of the Migs. Therefore I added a parking code to let it free.

A big thankyou from myself for another very welcome scenery in the ever diminishing creations for FS9.
