Anything at the yard can be taken home.....just depends on your skills as a negotiator how much you have to pay. I have a piston out of a 3350....cost me a six pack. But usually real currency must change hands.

If it is a Howard 500 then it is related to the Lodestar but only in as much as Howard used components from Lockheed and some of their design but basically built a whole new airplane, only small sections were direct grafts from Lockheed.
I trusted the article in the link I posted. Visually the differences are very small even if the full airplane is captured in pictures. Now that I look at the shots again though i think the cockpit windows are not quite right for the Lockheeds.
The Howard 500 was pressurized and for that reason alone was a complete redesign of the fuselage. I guess we could just look at Milton's 500 and compare.
As for parts such as yokes and gauges .... You would definitely have to bring money for those.

I'm not sure it's a Howard 500. Even though it's registered as one, there are some things that weren't present on the 500's like the overhead hatch.

I don't think it is a Howard 500. The cockpit windows are all wrong. I think it actually is a Lockheed PV-2D Harpoon ... Part of the Lodestar family.
Look at the images of the Harpoon at twinbeech.com for comparison. Now a unpressurized Howard 250 or 350 directly based on the Lockheed Super Ventura is possible of course. The H400 and H500 as I said earlier are completely new designs using some existing parts.
