BTW, I have forgotten to mention in this thread that any repaints of this FH-227 model should NOT include the model file, and repainters should direct people to download this package to get the MDL file for their repaints. It is clearly spelled out in the legal text.
Thanks,

I'll be uploading a small fix soon that will move the nacelle side black intakes to match the nacelle scoops.

OK, here's the fix. I also added Jaap's yokes in the cockpit, along with an instrument panel textured using a modified interior.bmp file.
Beta 9:

The yokes are not in the panel, they are in the cockpit of the external model as you look in through the cockpit windows.

Since the models seem to be finished, we need to talk about the file I end up linking to on my F-27 page (which will be the source of the MDL files for the plane).
There are two choices:
1. A file containing only the MDL files. Repainters would create each livery's cfg file, etc. on their own, and tell people to add the MDL file(s) to their package.
2. A file containing a complete aircraft, with textures. This would become the "Base Pack", and repainters would instruct users to add their texture folder to this Base Pack.
The first one has the advantage of simplicity, but planes could be created willy nilly and you might end up with a mishmash of folders in your Aircraft folder.
The second is more structured and complex, but it has the advantage that you would only need one (or two) folders in your Aircraft folder, and that each livery would be added to the same folder, providing consistency.
In the second case I would need someone to "donate" a livery to the Base Pack, so it would be a complete aircraft. You would get credit for this livery, of course. I would also probably create TWO Base Packs - one for the correct "227" model and one for the "500" model that uses previous textures. They would be released based on when/if someone donates a livery for that model.
Let me know your feelings,

#2 sounds the most logical way.
Thanks Tom for your hard work in reviving these great classics.
