Hi again.
Meanwhile I found out where the airport is located. Only this, trafficwise it would be a welcome addition to the airport depicted above ...

Du tout! Ancien protectorat français! ;-) In fact I always wanted to create an airport that included palm trees...

Excellent addition. More Africa is great and would love to see someone do some Algeria locations to enhance Air France routes.

Here one more airport. Yet a lot of work to do, particularly on the military part.

Wow, just thought I was day dreaming here. Did not expect anyone to have already started anything in Algeria. Given I have not seen any old pictures of airports in this region which airport is it? I am of course hoping you plan to release this soon:)

Did not expect anyone to have already started anything in Algeria. Given I have not seen any old pictures of airports in this region which airport is it? I am of course hoping you plan to release this soon:) The top one is Algiers "Maison Blanche" Airport the lower one is Oran es Senia. To be honest I was not very keen on recreating Algeria during its war of independance against the French colonial power (1954-1962). Technically this means that each and every airport and airfield was packed with military, what I find harder to recreate than purely civilian airports. Even more, it was a very brutal conflict where both sides, French Army and the Algerian guerilla, committed many war crimes particularly among civilians, and that left many open wounds in both countries involved. But I am neither French nor Algerian, only a kid that spent his Kindergarden in Algeria. And as I promissed to myself that I would recreate all major airports around the places where I lived so far, I decided to do it anyway. Attachments:

Hi,
Thanks Sabi for this further nice and very interesting project. Algiers will again be a welcome addition to the upcoming Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport. At classic era it was a hub for flights to Northern Africa (Marocco and particulary to Algeria). BTW, Algiers Maison Blanche was one of the most important airports on French territory after Paris Orly and Marseille Marignane.
Cheers, Bernard
