i would like to make both airports of Buenos Aires in the sixties
Aeroparque Jorge Newery and Ezeiza Ministro Pistarini
but i will not start before finish my "in work" projects (i hope will be on 2015, but i'm not sure)
So if someone it's free and available and want to do it, it's not a problem for me, go ahead!
The more important, it's to have a lot of information.

Have added two 1961 charts for the original Managua airport of Xolotlan to my Flickr page JWHSHD.
It is almost impossible to locate the position of the airport now. Has been completely built over. It is interesting looking at airports in my 50-60 year old manuals and seeing what the airports looked like back then as compared to now. If they are closed you can sometimes still find traces of the airport but in many cases they have been completely eradicated with housing and factories.

Final AFCAD. Should I leave the airport ground texture standard green or change it to a more arid, desert look? Looking for feedback.

Final AFCAD. Should I leave the airport ground texture standard green or change it to a more arid, desert look? Looking for feedback. Take a look at it in Google Earth. What does the real airport look like? You should try to match as close as possible as reality to what was actual. Usually only a massive sprinkler or irrigation system produces an area lush green grass like a golf course when you are in an arid or semi-arid environment. Photos will tell you what it should look like

Hi,
I for myself try it always, to integrate the airport poly into the surrounding area. The limiting factor is, that not all textures can be used as airport poly. ( These textures do exclude tree's etc,, ) In Sbuilder they are marked in green color, if I remember right.
Cheers Wolfgang

Have uploaded 1962 and 1963 charts for San Juan Int. Airport to my Flickr page JWHSHD and a series of photos from covering 1955 to the 1980s. This airport would make an important and welcome addition to the CalClassic scenery. Link to the page below: www.flickr.com/photos/12530375@N08/John

For interest I have uploaded 1962 charts and some photos of Lima's original airport Limatambo to my Flickr page. The airport has earlier been placed with the CalClassic Lima scenery with the terminal recreated but am wondering if it would be possible to put the airport "back into service" with other buildings and perhaps some Panagra AI aircraft. Nice of them to convert the runways to roads and reuse the terminal building, so you can place them exactly.
