When It will be completed, any point to convert Tom Idlewild. If is, can you Tom fix those textures you mentioned, i don't have Converter X. Are there Miami 62 in works, I read somewhere that it is.
Guam, Wake, Johnson Atoll, Midway, And dozen of US Continental Airports have been converted.

You convert the MDL objects within the library BGL file, not the textures. You change the material settings within those objects. If you are going to convert sceneries to FSX, using ModelConverterX is a requirement. Otherwise all transparent objects will cause solid objects beyond them to be transparent as well. ModelConverterX is free, and the latest development version is here: www.scenerydesign.org/development-releases/The manual (albeit for a somewhat older version) is here: www.fsdeveloper.com/wiki/index.php?title=ModelConverterXHope this helps,

Hi,
Al Courtney is working on Miami 62, but work and family responsibilities have delayed the project indefinitely.

The goal of my JFK scenery is to be a basic huge facelift to the current version by replacing everything with custom models, so I don't think there's a lot of point to converting Tom's version as mine is looking to be out very soon

You are right, I wont, in meantime im converting other airport afcad files to fsx. The West coast is 50% percent done and couple islands in pacific. When I did converting come smaller airports the regional ones, I noticed there are no bouildings only peaople and vehicles, is this right or are there some missing buildings?

Hi,
There should always be a terminal at least. If you could give me a specific airport I could check it in FS9.

DO NOT USE airports are those that were not open in 1962. You will also find DO NOT USE ILS approaches, which were not in service then.

We did not have pictures for any of those airports, so they just use generic terminal buildings. Those 3 airports use default buildings in the OB files, much like those already discussed at IDL. I cannot give FSX equivalents for all of them. You can simply substitute a similar size building in the OBX files that are already supplying buildings for that airport, or use a 3rd party library building.
Hope this helps,
