Your welcome. I've read the first five chapters and am enjoying it a lot. The Wrights had a methodical approach which IMHO is why they succeeded.

Another very good read is To Conquer the Air by James Tobin. Covering the unofficial race between the Wrights and Samuel Langley and then continuing on through the Wrights being recognized world wide as aviation undisputed pioneers.
My favorite paragraph comes at the end of the chapter when the Wrights finally fly and the "race" is over.
"The official cost of Langley's enterprise now approached $70,000. The Wrights figured up the total cost of their experiments of 1900 - 1903, including train and boat fare to and from the Outer Banks, at a little under one thousand dollars."
