Hi together. As some of you recognized within the last days the JMAI design team has relaesed fine new DC-4 & 6 for AI. Maybe these models could be go in use for CalClassic traffic files in the future. They're looking very nice with several paints which are in the packs. Cheers, Arne

According to Michael Pearson "the paints in this package mostly focus on DC-6 use from the 1970s to present day". Not exactly CalClassic traffic periods.

BTW, to use correctly versions "JMAI_Douglas_DC-6AB_Early", sim lines in aircraft.cfg should be replaced by "JMAI_DC-6AB" (same as air file).

If anyone would like to convert our hundreds of liveries for those two AI planes, I'm open to discussion.

Hi,
I did see that they did some classic schemes, and those can easily be used in place of the CC AI liveries:
1. In the aircraft.cfg file of the plane you want to substitute (i.e. the CC AI livery), copy the title= line of the relevant livery. 2. Paste it above the relevant title= line in the JBAI aircraft.cfg file. 3. If needed, press return to put the original title= line onto a new line. 4. Type // before that original title= line to inactivate it. 5. In the original CC cfg file, add NAI to the end of that title= line (it means No AI, which will inactivate that plane as far as flight plans go). 6. Save both cfg files.
Now the JBAI plane will fly those routes.
Hope this helps,

Be aware that some (or all?) textures have to be converted with DTXBMP to avoid CTD's.

Anybody up to painting 200 or 300 DC-4 and DC-6 paint jobs?
We have a fine AI model that Tom has tweaked and made model corrections on last year. We have all the paints we need, even though many of them are older paints and not uniform, and in the end, will be repainted with my layers files. I started this project last year with the DC-3, and have already repainted about 100 of them. As far as a totally new plane and totally new paints, sorry but count me out.
