Well I remember losing sleep with this back in the day. Flying from KISP to KMVY it would stop and the "loading" screen would appear. Good Times! youtu.be/uCehXfpJVUA

Wow, the old days. I started with FS3, as I remember.

Oh wow, I've never seen this before. Does anybody recall what the original flight simulator cost, and how much did a Commodore C-64 cost when new?

Hi,
if I remember right, the C-64 did cost in 1985 800 DM in Germany. But I know exactly the price for my first 5.25 Floppy Drive, 599 DM in 1986.
My first Computer was a Sinclair Spectrum with 48 kbyte memory in 1983. Then the C-64 with Sublogic FS2...what a pain. I used the C-64 mostly with C-Lab Supertrack,, one of the first Software Midi Sequencer. Then I bought a Atari Mega ST2 in 1987 and later a 20MB !! Hard Disk. Tried again Flightsim with FS4 for Atari......still not much fun, but "playable" So also used this computer mostly for Midi Sequencing. I think it was 1994, when I decided to change to IBM compatible, with the feeling of a backstep. This feeling slowly changed with Win 95C which was stable enough for some months usage without reinstall.
I do not know anymore the price of Sublogics FS2 back then, I think it was 29.95 DM. But these were the times, where an friend of an friend had Diskettes which could get copied. Networks without Internet...unbelievable.
Cheers Wolfgang
