Hi all, it has taken a while, but we have just uploaded the Lockheed L-1249A Turboprop Super Constellation for FS9. The file should be available for download soon. This model is based on the earlier visual models by Manfred Jahn and our team and now has a VC. It also features a completely new flight model based on an original USAF flight manual, a comprehensive documentation is included, so you won't be left in the dark with an unusual airplane from the early days of turboprops. Special thanks to Manfred for helping with GMAX! Merry Christmas to everyone. Best regards, The Constellation Team

Very cool and I am impressed that you released it on time for Christmas for all flight simmers.
One question please (DO NOT BE OFFENDED), is this authorized by CalClassics, Jahn, and Tom? Just want to make sure I am downloading legal authorized model base and legal authorized panel that you say will work for FSX.
Regards,
Aharon

Hi,
Yes, I gave my permission for the use of gauges, etc. I also beta tested it in FS2004. I believe that Manfred supplied the source files to the group?

Okay thanks for confirming authorization of that upgrade.
Oppsss I did not notice that the original poster happens to be official moderator of Cal Classics forums meaning this has to be authorized. LOL My mistake.

Aharon

Nice job! I'm flying it as I write this.
1 comment and 2 questions: I'm using it in fsx and when ever I use the official start procedure [4-3-2-1] the number 4 engine overheats but when I do the quick start everything is normal. Not sure if it's something with fsx or not.
Are there any "what if" airline repaints coming?
Speaking of what if - in my DC-7 book it said there was talk of doing a turboprop conversion and I have always thought that would make great what if project - any thought of doing that?
Thanks for any replys.

I love this model I really enjoyed the previous one, but this is so much better. Unfortunately the previous textures don't fit with this (had a quick try last night). Well done to all who helped improve this Turbine Connie. Pete.

Thank you Volker and Team. I loved flying the previous version but with a guess on the feeds and speeds. When it got over 300kts, I would always retard the throttles and think there is no way this thing could go this fast. Well done guys, Allen.
