Hi again! I have just released my set of textures for the Southern Airways DC-3 in both the 1959 paint scheme and the 1962 "Aristocrat" paint scheme. This uses the high resolution texture model (same as the Bonanza and Pacific does). The latest model is included in the download, so if you already have that model installed in your system, just overwrite it with this newer, improved model. Although I could not find any color photos of the interior of a Southern DC-3, I was able to find a nice color photo of an early Southern 404, so I based the interior colors on that. Yes....you will see these planes in front of terminals of my newest project that I have begun and hope to have finished by mid summer. Once that is done, I will rework and update the old ArkLaMiss scenery because it really looks a bit barren and "long in the tooth". Happy flying, Mike Stevens The 1959 paint scheme parked in front of the new Key West terminal: The 1962 paint scheme parked in front of the Sarasota-Bradenton terminal: Yes, Florida 1962 is well underway. I will create every airport except Miami which is already done and will remain a separate scenery. Very nice! Southern's DC-3s in the 50s were navy blue seats and curtains and white walls. By 1962 they had the same interior colors as the Martins.

Hi all,
BTW you might not notice, but these DC-3 models have had a couple of minor improvements - the wheel shape has been improved (no longer blocky), and the props now have blades that have the same prop pitch angle (the default had props appropriate for counter rotating engines, which the DC-3 did not have).
I have also made these improvements to the CC modification (extra rudder texture) and the default DC-3 as well. All included in my DC-3 package on my DC-3 page.

Hi again,
For those that may be thinking about painting up some DC-3s after reading this thread, contact me if you want something a little easier to paint than the default or the awesome 4some models. A PM would be fine. If not, it will probably be released in a month or two anyway.
