Dutchs air gauge over at Vasim under Charles Owen. Has anybody installed it on there prop planes? Would like to have it on the Windscreen up in Left corner on my DC3C. The Panel gauge file numbers was set for Cessan 172 SP Anybody know what numbers to change to move it to that area? Cessan numbers were 250,20,40,20 Thank's for any help. Lane1

Hi,
The upper left corner is 0,0 for the first two numbers.
Hope this helps,

You'll probably just have to experiment with the size and placement of the gauge. The numbers mean the following:
1st number is the horizontal axis, with 0 being the left side of the panel.
2nd number is the vertical axis, with 0 being the top of the panel.
3rd number is the width of the gauge.
4th number is the height of the gauge.

hi, I installed the ice gauge in the FS gauge folder and added the following line in the DC3C panel folder: gauge88=ICE!IceWarning,470,345,40,20 It works!

hi lane1, I am glad I have been able to help someone. By the way since you fly this great DC3C, do you have missing gauges in the VC? I had to edit the panel file in order to show several important gauges which allow you to fly from the VC .

Hello YankeeGolf. Looks like you might be able to help someone else as well! My install of the DC3c has a half-naked VC and I was looking for a fix. Would you mind sharing your panel cfg and any other edits you needed to make?

Hi Yankeegolf & Speedbird, Yes there could be missing gauges. I fly most of time from 2D panel. I think the VC Hyd gauges don't show the correct pressure at times. Most of time only time I jump to VC is on the roll out after a good ILS Landing so I can see the runway when the plane drops down on tailwheel on roll out. Also I like to switch to VC on Instant Replay of landing. I sure would like to see a screenshot of the VC after you have added some gauges I have try to e-mail Charles "dutch" Owens asking some questions but no Luck. P.S I lost a engine on Landing at KSDF but landed ok on one engine. Over Rev the engines when I missed my ILS approch. Regards Lane1

hi, The problem with the missing gauges is caused by the fact that some gauges are not located at the address that is defined in the panel config file. Some of them are in the default Douglas_DC3 file and others in the DC3CPNL file. So you have to find their proper location. That is what I did some time ago but I don't remember exactly what I did...I also added some gauges in the VC which I took from the 2D panel and from the default DC3. I had to resize them slightly. I added the flap indicator, the RMI, the OAT indicator, the battery drain light, the RPM and manifold gauges maybe the carb air temp and cylinder temp (I no longer have the original DC3C VC panel), the autopilot switch, and in the upper panel I added the autopilot control panel, the generator ampere meter and the mixture control annunciator panel, maybe the voltmeter. I could send you pictures and my files but I don't know how to do it on this forum. As for the files, maybe there is a legal issue because I assume that it has to be approved by dutch beforehand. Cheers

You might get many of the gauges to display by copying your DC-3 CAB file from the Douglas_DC3/panel folder into your main Gauges folder. That's true for some other panels.
Hope this helps,

Sorry I didn't get to this earlier folks I've been hit with a winter cold bug. I'm glad you got your gauge on the panel, Lane.
There's no legal issue with modifications to the DC-3C. Do anything you want with it (except don't try to sell it of course).
Any other questions I'll be glad to help if I can.

Yes, looks like I made a rookie mistake in assuming that the Douglas_dc3.cab would always be in the gauges folder.
If you copy that to the DC-3C panel folder, as Tom says, it should make the missing gauges appear on the VC.
