I use FSX Steam edition, so far the only A/C I successfully installed has been the super connie, I follow the read me instructions, but nothing shows up. Also can't figure out why the connie runs out of fuel, can't see where to swap tanks. Thanks much.

After you have installed the planes, do you move all the folders in the FSX/Aircraft folder into the FSX/SimObjects/Airplanes folder?

The fuel tank controls in the Super Connie are on the FE panel (click the FE icon). You need to click on the fuel pump icon to see the plumbing, on the left. The switches will turn on the fuel pumps from the various tanks.
Hope this helps,

No, for example, I put sound in sound, gauges in gauges, etc, I follow the read me instructions, or at least I think I do.

So you are doing it manually, it appears. That means that any folders you find within an Aircraft folder in your temporary installation are moved to the FSX/SimObjects/Airplanes folder, right?

yeah, if the folder was for ex dc3, I would move that folder to sim objects/airplanes, but I also would move the panel sound texture etc to their respective folders. Also open all tanks and pumps on super connie and still losing engine mid flight.

No. All folders in the Aircraft folder must be moved to the SimObjects/Airplanes folder. Even the panel and sound folders.
Hope this helps,

just attempted to load DC7 base package using the fsx. exe installer, and no dc7. This is the file path the installer gave me. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX

1. Install the FS2004 Base Pack into your main FSX folder (you will need to click the ... button and browse to it). That is probably C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX. 2. Move all folders from the FSX/Aircraft folder to the FSX/SimObjects/Airplanes folder. 3. Install the FSX Base Pack, using the folder that it suggests.
Hope this helps,

Just not appearing on my aircraft list. Thanks. Take a shortcut and use my FSX native models: sites.google.com/site/fsxstuffbybk/aircraft/dc-3-enhancedRepaints made for the A4Some still work. Realism upgrade included. Note there's not much of a specific manual (use a real one instead) and not mucn support since I've switched camp for X-Plane.
