I may be mistaken .... but I thought I had read here some months ago there was an updated panel in the works for Cal Classic's Boeing 377. Just wondering Pete.

Kia Ora!
Yup, there is a (collection of) panels, gauges and alternate configs which relate to the various permutations of the 377/C97 aircraft for FS9 in the "works." They are currently being tested off-line by a small group of Stratophiles, and since we share mother countries you are perfectly placed to take part. At this point there are 2d views for Captain, Co-pilot, Flight Engineer and Navigator plus separate radio panel/switch panel for the Captain's view. The Virtual cockpit has also been addressed, with revised textures to enhance the night time appearance, and new gauges for the primary flying task.
The "panels" and configs are grouped by aircraft type (e.g. Strat, Super Strat, Military).
The objective was to provide a legible collection of gauges in an environment that encouraged the user to extend his/her involvement. You will find all sorts of information available from the various "panels" to assist the navigation task/ the flight engineer's role - IF you choose to get involved. Or, you can sit up front and pretty much ignore it once you've got airborne.
It's not finished yet. It needs some users to try it, fly it, and assist with the task of assessment and feedback. It doesn't entirely meet the prescriptions of FS Aviator's User Interface document. It does use the existing views settings of the Cal Classic B377 aircraft configs.
It involves a chunky install, and revised aircraft configs so you'll need some space, and some chops when it comes to setting things up.
