Your ground textures are lovely Mike - what package are you using, if I may ask?

I like the Iran Air paint and it makes a good contrast to the desert scenery.

Aaronav8R - That the scenery apart from the airports is stock FSX with the following additions - ORBX Global, Global Vector and ORBX Trees. I going to try an FS9 mesh later today to see if it picks up the overall look at all, sometimes a good mesh does wonders other times makes no difference, but I find the more remote an area or non western it is more likely a good mesh will fix up a lot of stuff. It appears there is no reason why FS9 mesh will not work in FSX at all as mesh is mesh but we will see.
ORBX Global changes LC and textures across the globe and Vector fixes up coast lines, rivers etc. I really like ORBX trees because it improves the standard FSX trees and they are better sizes and mixes not to mention outlines and look, they also are light on frame rates unlike the standard stuff. The only other change I have is a freeware package (via FlightSim.com) that fixes up dirt roads and I use the REX grass textures not ORBX or FSX. The REX grass textures are very good IMHO and are freeware from them.
Everything else in my scenery world in the sim is Cal Classic apart from airports not done by them and a few that I have reworked using Instant Scenery or ADE. It all works fine together and only rarely is their a glitch, the other thing you get from ORBX is a Vector Configurator tool which addresses those annoying elevation problems that are a perennial with airports as a result I have no elevation issues either it corrects and adjusts them all to make it work with Global, it is worth the money just for that tool alone. Takes a while to do it and you need to redo it every time you add or remove an airport probably about 45 mins for the whole globe.
There can be a bit of a blocky or unreal outline to some areas but that is common in all sims unless it is all photoreal over a large area. You learn to live with it.

Fully agree with Larry. And I think I just felt some turbulence in pic #3!

I like the colour scheme as well, it is particularly nice on the DC-6, Frank Gonzales did it for the DC-6B. Have not found one for the DC-3, have to have a go at that one myself. The later dark blue but still with the Homa logo on the tail for the jets is quite stylish as well. Interesting geography to fly about from the Caspian to Turkey to the Persian Gulf, Pakistan and Afghanistan. Very hard to find any decent information about aviation there at all in this period other the odd bit here and there, the country seems to have been in turmoil for so long, nobody remembers or cares to remember.
