I'm back with another article from Air Facts Journal. This one is from a pilot named Jeff Hill who started at TWA in 1964. I think you will find his comments about training and flying the Constellation interesting. His biography states that he went on to fly many of the early jets in TWA's fleet before retiring in 1997. I hope he writes some more in the future about those experiences. Memories of flying the Connie

My dad was hired by TWA and started in 1955 at the age of 26 after flying night recon in Douglas B-26s in Korea. Learned to fly in a Aeronca Champ at the age of 16. He started in M404s, went up through all the Connies, then the 707s, and 747. Retired w/ a medical pension in '76'. He flew a lot with the late, great Bob Buck. Be great if I could get some stories out of him that I could pass along to all you folks.

Yeah Mike I would love to hear some of your dad's stories. I thought it was interesting in the article that he said only once did they go high enough to switch into hi blower. Of course in that sample of trips all the legs were pretty short. ORD to DAY was probably the longest.
