I would imagine the folks in the paint shop who painted the actual aircraft were thinking the same thing. Great job Gary.

Very nice Gary, one of my favorite airlines to fly.
Wonder if you would consider another favorite, Braniff DC6 (preferably 1957 or so),there's one available for Jens DC6 but not Tom's. Just a thought:)
In FS9 Please

Thank you. The curves aren't as bad as lining up the nose and fuselage textures.
Uploaded BOAC textures today which are in extended bmp as are most of my repaints.
On the Braniff DC-6, I assume you would like the short DC-6 with the final livery?

Gary, As I asked for this paint many thanks indeed. I tried painting it myself some time ago but was defeated by exactly the problem you mention - that of aligning the fuselage markings properly with the nose. Yours is perfect. It might be of interest if I give some information on this aircraft from the second edition of Peter Marson's book on the Constellation. Construction Number 4166. To Seaboard and Western airlines as N6504C 'Frankfurt Airtrader' 28 Sept 1954 (there is a photograph of it in this livery at Idlewild on Zoggavia). Converted for use by BOAC by LAS Burbank early 1955 to 86 passenger Tourist class configuration, with provision for tip tanks. Leased to BOAC in full colours (but see below) for North Atlantic passenger services 10 Mar 1955 until 12 Feb 1956 (last service Bermuda to New York). The flight deck crews were provided by Seaboard and Western but the cabin crews were BOAC (more details Marson, p. 187.) They flew London - New York and New York - Bermuda, but there is a photo of one at Stuttgart so clearly they operated elsewhere as well, perhaps on charter flights. They were to an extent subject to (engine?)problems and other aircraft had to be leased too. According to Marson's list of Constellations which served with BOAC (p. 190) N6504C was only in full BOAC colours between March and October 1955. Hope this helps. Thanks again for providing us with a lot of fun, Ken
PS The timetables website does not have a BOAC timetable for 1955. Is there any other way of finding the schedules for the London - New York and New York - Bermuda flights?

Thanks for the information. I found the Zoggavia pic and used it as a guide.
I have a July 1955 OAG which shows BA 463 IDL-BDA-BGI-POS and BA464 returning. Also BA653 IDL-BDA and BA654 return.
Super Constellation and/or Stratocruiser also used LON-PIK,MAN,BOS,IDL,MDW, and YUL. These flights are not specified as to which equipment was been used and are listed as Coronet service only.

Hi,
My Sept. 1955 OAG does specify which flights are flown by the Super Connies.
BA530 IDL 1400 Th/Sa LON 0700 Fr/Su
BA529 LON 1000 Fr/Su IDL 2030 Fr/Su
BA654 IDL 1100 Daily BDA 1340
BA653 BDA 1500 Daily IDL 1755
Hope this helps,

Thanks to you both. These OAG guides are clearly very useful. I keep an eye out on E-Bay occasionally but one needs to be fairly lucky.
