I had found this website "http://www.navfltsm.addr.com" incredibly helpful for teaching basic navigation for flight simulation. Unfortunately, it appears down. I've tried contacting the webmaster but the e-mail bounced back.
This was one of the best sites for discussing NDB and Radio Range history and usage, along with full approaches, and it's unfortunate to see it gone from the internet. Would anybody here happen to know of Charles Woods, or how to get in contact with him?
What's the etiquette for defunct websites? Could I at some point bring it back with credit given? Luckily all of it was saved on the archive across many years. I'm thinking of how the Ford-Tri-Motor website was saved from loss.
Thanks,

I would wait a month or so to see if it comes back up (it might just be a payment issue). I might also contact several general FS web sites with the same question, in case somebody knows what has happened. If no problems arise, then you could explore bringing it back, with credit.

Thanks Tom
it looks like the server host ".addr.com" might be the problem. I've clicked some search results with a similar URL structure and they also time out. This link, "http://addr.com/solutions.htm" is my suspect.
EDIT: Looks like this is a recurring issue for several years according to facebook users. Maybe it will come back.

The firm addr.com is a hosting company, maybe an ex-hosting company now! Their home page has gone.

This site was one of the best, I had found it while I was studying for being a pilot.
I am currently talking with a webmaster to copy the site and create a new one. For sure, it will be dedicated to Charles !
I have all the records of the website.

The website is archived here under "Classic Flight Tips". Click on Charles Wood's "Aerial Navigation Page".

Looks like there is another host for this website, at 94.61.167.173/Navfltsm/www.navfltsm.addr.com/index.htmlThat link is live, and not an archive. Looks like it was created with a website copying program. I don't know who is hosting the website, or if it is at all permanent.
