Dear friends, I'm getting ready to instal the wonderful set of classic AI aircraft, for which gift I am exceedingly grateful!
May I ask about EditVoicepack?
The website offers a payware version, the latest, called EditVoicepack XL (currently v 6.3.1), and two older unsupported but free versions, EditVoicepack X 4.0, and EditVoicepack 3.1 together with 'last data update' October 24th 2006.
Is 3.1 with the update the one to go for?
Best wishes
Alan
PS when I get to the point of actually installing the AI I may have other noob-type questions which I hope you won't mind me asking!

If you are using FS2004, we use 3.1.
And questions are welcome here. 😎

Tom, I'm sorry I should have made clear I'm using FSXSE.
And thanks, I'll have no fear of asking dumb questions then!

I believe that version 4 handles, FSX, but I don't know if it covers FSX-SE.

Tom, I've just looked at the website again, and EditVoicepack X v4.0 (which is also unsupported and free) is for FSX - and my experience with the SE flavour of FSX over the past few months has been that its functionality is identical, it just runs better. So when I get to that point in the AI aircraft installation I'll give EditVoicepack X v4.0 a go, and report back. It's not clear to me how the payware version XL, which is also for FSX, is different; maybe it's being worked up for MSFS 2020. Alan

I think it was originally designed for FSX, then updated for P3D. He doesn't yet support FS2020. It doesn't use recorded voices so he would have to start over, and he has not yet found a way to do that.
