Hi, ...is available for looking at, reading articles, downloading info etc etc, is completely free and is a fabulous archive of the history of flight. www.flightglobal.comand look for Archive at the top of the page ! This info comes from The Old Hanger in a forum post on the FIAT G18v. The language used by these Old School reporters is magnificent and to my way of thinking FSAviator is a writer of a similar school. Andy.

Thanks Andy for the answer to a question I had not even posted yet. I had come across that site a while back and failed to bookmark it and then could not find it again.
Sometimes the search engine is a little cumbersome....but it's definitely worth the trouble.

This has been mentioned here before, but it's so useful it should be mentioned again and again.
There are listings of international airports for 1958-1964 that include the name of the airport back then, and the length/width/designation of the longest runway - invaluable for scenery designers.
