I haven't been very active in my vintage era since a couple of weeks. But meanwhile I went back to famous McRobertson Air Race London-Melbourne in 1934. So I tried to assemble most aircraft as possible involved in this competition. The easiest were of course the DC-2 "Uiver" of KLM and the three de Havilland Comet DH 88 "Grosvenor House", "Black Magic" and "Reine Astrid". Some others are also avialable with their historical repaints. For the rest I had to made compromises. Nevertheless there are fifteen aircraft in starting position at Mildenhall. As we know, just a few could finally reach Melbourne. Bernard

Another good one Bernard. Makes me want to fire up my golden wings version, it’s been awhile.

As Al said quite right, Golden Wings still offers good reasons to go back to it. Here some further sceeenshots of McRAR. The three de Havilland Comet chasing the DC-3 "Uiver" The Dutch Pander S4 overtakes the DC-3 The leading Comet "Grosvenor House" approaching Melbourne while passing Lerderderg State Park, Finally reaches Flemington racecourse and does a T/G as winner of the competition. Another fine historical recreation Bernard. Those pilots had to have a lot of confidence in themselves and their aircraft to make a flight like that air race.
