While searching further repaints for Travel Air models I found this rather fancy model done by Stephen Attaway. This Travel Air 6000A Macaw livery was a promotion for Berryloid Aircraft Finishes. Its based on the plumage of the Scarlet Macaw, a large and beautiful bird native to Central America. Berryloid took some liberties with the Macaw's plumage. Berry Brothers, based at Detroit, sold aircraft finishes, paints and other coating products. Although their coatings were used by the automobile and marine sectors, brother Colby chose to focus on the aviation business and air races. So he competed in the 1927 Ford Reliability Tour. * * * Let me now to take this opportunity to point out another topic. When Tom created this subboard, it was quite greeted and welcomed. However, I realize that the contributions are extremely small. Comparing with the initial interest, it is really unfortunate. Obviously, vintage flying seems not to be a particularly exciting topic after all. Bernard

Nice paint job. The differences may be due to the way the plane is texture mapped.
I am sorry to say that as eras get older, there are fewer and fewer people that are interested in them. A matter of attrition...
