Here is another Scenery I have been working on and plan to release at some point. As we all know there is a pretty basic version already available at the CC website Hamilton is where I started my life (literally) my parents were both in the Air Force, meet there and got married. Dad went to Korea and mom went to Mississippi and then I showed up while he was in Korea. So.... I decided to enhance the place and here are the results
Hamilton in 1957, the 84th and 85th FIS stationed there and C-97s In this picture you see the F-86Ls and the F89Js both created by David Wooster and created originally for this scenery. He also painted them as well.
On to 1959 where the F-104 Starfighter was introduced. Probably the worst aircraft for a Fighter Interceptor Squadron. No Radar, Short Range, Daylight only. Might have worked if the Russians attacked us at High noon with plenty of warning. However, the F-106 was facing delays and the F-104 was there so they used it.
By 1962 the F-101 Voodoo now maned both Squadrons replacing the F-104 and the F-89 along with Troop Carrier Wing flying the C-119 Flying Boxcar.
The real thing
The Alert Hangars
The real thing though after they were no longer in use.
And an F-101 landing
Still more to do on this one, hasn't been touched in over a year so a little foggy on what still needs to be done.

That is PRETTY amazing scenery and AI traffic
Any reason why checkerboards are on roofs of hangers as I am sure Canada did not want to provide easy bull eye targets for enemy bombers?

Aharon

I know this is still in progress but, when do you suppose this will be released? Sorry if I sound a little impatient, I just wanna add some more classic AFBs to my FS.

As a matter of fact I have been working on this again after Ken and I released RAF Upper Heyford recently so hopefully soon. There are many more in the works in various stages of completion. If you search my name (Von Pingel) at Flightsim.com you will find all my previous releases as well as the many done jointly with Ken though I see you have found many of them already. You should also search Ian Elliot as well as he has enough releases to keep you busy for months. Make sure you check him out at sim-outhouse.com as well.

Hamilton is near the finish line. DeltaDart jumped in to provide many custom paints where I had generic paints for various aircraft and there are now more types represented in each year. So here is a look at the custom paints DeltaDart did along with some added fighter types. T-33 Shooting Stars in the 1955 traffic of the 312th FBS - DeltaDart Here are the T-33s in a later scheme - DeltaDart 312th Fighter Bomber Squadron Flying the P/F-80 in the 1955 Traffic - Generic Paint Moving to the Republic F-84 in the 1957 traffic - DeltaDart Which then was converted to a 312th Troop Carrier Squadron Flying the C119 by 1959. Generic Meanwhile we have the 325th Fighter interceptor Squadron Flying the the F-86D Sabre Dog in 1955 - DeltaDart DeltaDart also provided the 325th Sabre Nights Display Team paint. This Team disbanded after the 325th name was transferred to Truax AB in Late 55 as part of the Project Arrow realigning Squadrons with their old Wings. Thus the personnel and aircraft now became the 83rd FIS with a new paint job in our 57 traffic file. Model and Paint by David Wooster Which 83rd FIS then moved to the F-104 Starfighter in 1959 - Model and Paint by Mike Pearson and in our 1962 traffic the 83rd FIS is flying the F-101B Voodo, Blue Strip - DeltaDart Along with Mike Pearson’s paint of the 84th There are other types as well but you get the picture, lots of variety in every year. Just testing and re-testing then on to release!

Kind of a step down for the pilots, from the F104 to the F101, although they might have been more practical.

I often wondered when they had changes like that, moving from the 104 to the 101, did the pilots of the 104s follow them to there next assignment and new pilots arrive with the 101s? Very different aircraft along with 104 being single seater and the 101B’s being a two seater.
