As a non-American, I am continually fascinated by the length of the Mississippi River and the journey it takes across the States. That's why I let fly an AI more or less along the course of the stream. The trip begins over Lake Itasca, MN, the source of the Mississippi (shown underneath the plane) In FS9 the river is only visible from Brainerd, MN. While overflying and doing a TNG at Hannibal, MO The aircraft isn't far from Lake Mark Twain (in the background). Samuel Langhorne Clemens, known by his pen name Mark Twain, was the author of the very well known novels 'The adventures of Tom Swayer' and 'The Advenures of Huckleberry Finn'. The Aero Commander reaches Minneapolis, MN St. Louis, MO Memphis, TN Natchez, MS ant its airport, probably not visited very often and therefore shown here approaching New Orleans, MO and finally overflies the river's outflow at its Delta. Thanks to the crew for this special flight! Bernard

An interesting trip. The Amazon and the Nile are the other two very long rivers I can think of.
