More specifically, can aircraft add ons (not scenery!) affect the flight physics/dynamics/models of other planes, causing them to "malfunction" in terms of flying?

Are we talking about MSFS 2020? I'm not sure about flight models, but I do know that certain cockipt actions/animations and lights textures (for example) can interfere with each other.
I use [the excellent] Addons Linker to manage all my add-ons. It makes it easy to enable/disable addons (individually or in groups) - so debugging a potetntial conflict is easy.

It cannot directly change the intrinsic flight dynamics of a plane, but it can affect how a plane’s dynamics are interpreted by FS. There are are many cases of a plane acting badly, only to be cured by loading the Default Flight, which resets many of these FS variables.

I do find that aircraft (including the "default flight" Cessna) do not stall easily and trim settings and flaps are "not needed" for it to fly into the air. In the case of the default Cessna, I can literally put the throttles into max and it would literally fly and gain altitude in a straight line, at least in fair weather. I can also "recover" somewhat easily from a stall in the default Boeing 737-400, again in fair weather. Andrew

Would be interesting to hear the specific example in this case. Could help to explain the issue. In FSX I don't have 1 aircraft changing the handling of another, but I have .dll's associated with a payware aircraft that will completely CTD my sim if I try to load certain other aircraft.

In the Fair Weather theme there is no wind so I would expect a Cessna to take off and fly straight ahead. And any plane will just take off at the neutral trim setting (I.e. the setting when you load a plane) as long as you’re going fast enough.
FS’s stall behavior is known to be inaccurate so I wouldn’t worry about that.
Finally, what are your Realism settings?

Hi Tom. I hope that you are well. My realism setting is at the maximum. Everything is slided to the max.

A Cessna should make a slow left turn on takeoff with no input because of the left turning tendencies.

Hmm, it does not turn left on takeoff in my FS9, but it does eventually takes a left-ish course when it gains a significant amount of altitude, in fair weather. Tested on the default flight.

Never mind, I think that those FD I experience during gameplay is indeed "intended by default." I tested the default planes on a default version of FS9 (on my brother's new computer) and yep - they handle the same as those in my Calclassic version. I am relieved at last Andrew
