Even it's slightly out of strictly classic era, I tried to get the AI Vertol 107 of New York Airways landing on the roof of the PAA building at Madison Avenue. In reality the first test flights began in March 1965. But the challenge was quite stronger to try such a flight now. Even if it looks very simple, the Afcad took me hours of countless adjustments and restarts, adjustments and restarts! Bernard

I remember that helicopter crashing onto roof of the PanAM building and it was wrecked to beyond repairs BUT Israel bought the wreck and managed to rebuild it into combat and troop carrying helicopter for Israeli army!! The helicopter that crashed onto the roof of PanAm building was Sikorsky S-61l that Israel rebuilt into King Stallion helicopter Regards, Aharon

I don't think I would feel comfortable riding in a helicopter that was going to land on the roof of a skyscraper.

I don't think I would feel comfortable riding in a helicopter that was going to land on the roof of a skyscraper. They had many trips between this PanAm blinding and KJFK without problems
Meanwhile I added to my post the photos of the crash
