The Fiat Model 7002 was a 1960s Italian general-purpose helicopter with a tip jet driven rotor built by Fiat Aviazione (later known as Aeritalia). The prototype first flew in anuary 1961 but no production aircraft were built. Performances where insuffisciant. The Fiat 7002 at Aeritalia plant in Turin (together with some Fiat G21 in the background) test flight over Turin Aeritalia Airport The "Aero Club Torino" is based there. From 1950 until 1970 its president was the former and well known chairman of Fiat, Giovanni Agnelli. Bernard

You are right, it is ugly. That is surprising given the Italians talent for innovative, artistic design.

darn, that’s one ugly helicopter. Looks like it was designed by committee. Another interesting tidbit Bernard.

Nice - and well rendered as always. Great to see even models like these are available for FS. The G.91 was a whole lot more successful!
The airport was the main Turin airport for ten years I believe, after Mirafiori had been bombed in 1943. The latter was a F.I.A.T. factory airfield as well and adjacent to its former location is still the more than a square mile-large complex of the current successors of the well-known car manufacturing division. Torino-Caselle took over the main airport function in 1953. Fiat stayed at the factory airport and was merged into Aeritalia in 1969, eventually moving most activities to Caselle as well.
