Wow Bernard your making me wonder if I got all of Ken’s classic ships installed. Some I know I have but others I don’t remember. Ken’s ships that he adds to our near water sceneries really adds to the visualization when flying in and out of them.

Sorry, it was Dan, what I meant was Dan’s list of ships Ken did that I did not know about. I will be down loading them this weekend.
Bernard, Are the ones you did available?
Also a while back someone did program that placed classic ships all over the world based on some database. I installed it and still have it as every so often I run across ships in strange places on land. Does anyone remember who did this?

Hi Al,
It seems that you mean the 'WS_CLASSIC.ZIP'. In it's Readme author is noticed as Johan Dees. I'm too had installed this package and too saw too many ships at the very odd places like some cities, African bush etc. And when one of the ships was found right in the Swiss Alps then I had to take all that beauty off.
Regards, Dan

It certainly was well intentioned. At least he contributed successfully to the hugh Africa 1960 scenery.

I think I need to remove it as well. Some time ago I would remove the errant ships as I came across them but of course the wakes would still be there so finally gave up on that.

Sorry to bring up an older thread, but does anyone think the basic scenery I did should be uploaded or just keep it here for those that want it?
I haven't heard any feedback, so I'm guessing it's fine the way it is?
I'm asking since the Azores is a pretty big deal in the Atlantic crossing with LORAN and we're close to putting that one out.
If you think it's good enough, I can put it up at either flightsim or simouthouse, or both.
Let me know.

I haven't heard any feedback, so I'm guessing it's fine the way it is? At least Dan (Kludde) and I posted a positive feedback. But the discussion turned then to the subject of ships. Bernard

Jorge, Sorry, I must have missed this thread... I installed the scenery today and I really like it. It is definitely worth uploading. Thank you for your work, I really appreciate it.

Thanks for the feedback!
I did see the responses, but didn't know if anyone else had any feedback other than those two.
I've gotten some more responses and I'm putting them into the scenery. Thankfully it's only small stuff that shouldn't be an issue, so I should have something by this weekend if nothing else comes up.
LORAN is still the main thing right now until we finish. After that, I'll dust off the FS9 version of the HFDF and see about getting that for some feedback, though we were pretty much ready to go when things fell off.
Regards,
Jorge Miami, FL
PS: If you have the Stinstrom version of Lajes, it goes fairly well accompanying this scenery. Some of the objects over there are a bit newer than what we would see in our era, but not a bad addition overall.

I strongly support the release of the FS9 version of Weatherships. Al Von Pingel and myself have almost finished a backdated version of the Stinstrom Lajes and it will be released, though probably after we have completed our current project - HLLM Wheelus in Libya, Ken

Scenery released! Should be available at SimOutHouse and Flightsim either today or tomorrow at the latest. lpaz_1962 by Jorge Rechani, on Flickr Changes include replacing the PAPI with a VASI as well as adding a beacon to the top of the tower. I noticed the tower has an obstruction light at the same location, but it's not that bad when viewd from a distance. I also decided to keep the single runway since I didn't want to mess with too much of the default layout. Otherwise I would've been working on it for the next month. Considering all the real world stuff I have going on right now, I wanted to keep my focus with Tom on LORAN. If anyone wants to add the other two runways into the taxiway system just let me know and I'll send you the ADE file as well as anything from the project that may help. It's in "ad4" format from the latest stable release. Just keep in mind that I tend to add "permanent" infrastructure with ADE, while smaller stuff that can be described as "eye candy" is done with Instant Scenery. At least for "Classic" FS2004. Platinum Wings conversion of GW3 is something completely different. Notice to the shortcomings as well as history and installation instructions are included in the readme file. Enjoy! Jorge Miami, FL
