I'm always fascinating by the Golden Wings Air Race. I created one at Curtiss-Reynolds Airport in Chicago, which became later NAS Glenview. I could follow them during hours! Unfortunately such races don't work with other aircraft like Jenny's or stearable Geebee's. Anyway, now that's definitely all here. Bernard

It's magic So, do you feel like sharing the secret with us, Bernard? Is it programmed traffic, recorded traffic or something else? Please do not feel pressed to unveil anything if you'd rather not. I'm just curious because I always try to imagine how much work the scenes - anything depicted on this great forum - take that are being shared. Erik

Hi Erik,
It's nothing else than the GW Cleveland Air Race placed somewhere else. I just added some runways more.
There aren't any secrets. But it might be some silence here from now on. For about two and a half years it almost has been a one man show! Initially I thought that this forum part could animate an exchange of ideas and expriences and be a way to maintain or even enhance interest in vintage flying era. By far I didn't had the claim to continue a sort of former Old Hangar. But obvisouly I was completely wrong. At least, many thanks to Tom, who made it possible to offer an approach here at all.

Hi Bernard,
As you know I am dealing with much the same thing in the classic forums, so don’t feel like you are being singled out - it’s happening to all of us. As each generation ages out there are just fewer people interested. It’s life - always changing.

It looks awesome, I agree. But the environment doesn't match. I could create vintage shows with every other flightsims. That's not my purpose.

I agree the planes are nice, but no vintage scenery makes it impossible to have them flying in their era. They are modern restorations at this point, flying in modern skies. Which is absolutely fine if that’s what is desired, of course.

Thats why I still an FS9'er. We have an amazing collection of vintage planes & scenery, as well as great support from Tom, Bernard, and so many others that keep us going with an almost 20 year old sim.
