I thought I would post these from the David Rumsey site since there seems to be a desire to look at some of the older maps. These are general aeronautical charts from the WW2 era which may be of interest for longer range navigation with something other than LORAN. They can be useful, for example, to corroborate your sextant shots in Google Earth with something other than the default mapping. They're not necessarily what we have in the sim, but at least it's not the newer stuff and they have many of the older airports we use in our era. Albeit, with other stuff we don't have in the late '50's or early '60's either, but it's better than GE default. David Rumsey Aeronautical Charts from WW2If you have the hardrive space, you can create an overlay in Google Earth for the entire world using these charts. I'm not sure how they "line up" with everything, but it's worth a try for someone with the disk space. Hope you folks enjoy! Jorge Miami, FL NOTE: Just noticed it wasn't that I couldn't find the "georeference" button, but rather that it doesn't exist. Still good to reference even if you can't get them into GE.
