Just installed the HJG DC-9 into a "modern" version of FS(. Every time I load it and hit the fly now button it CDT.
Worked fine in the past on other installations.

Why not venture over to HJG forums where you will get technical support for free from HJG staff members?
Define "modern" version of FS. We do not know if it means FS2004 or FSX or so. It also would be help if you tell us what operating system.
It would be best if you post your question along with specific information requested above to HJG forums where you will receive immediate attention and tech support. They might ask you how you installed and what panel you are using.
Moreover, they will ask you WHICH DC-9 since HJG offers many different varieties of DC-9.

Aharon

By "modern" I meant set in later years (jet Age) instead of the "classic " era.
DC-9-10.
Windows 10.
Might be the panel. I'll try a different one. Never had this issue with any other HJG planes and never with the DC-9.

Hi Mike,
It's definitely panel, I too was run in that issue. When install any of HJG's DC-9 don't put the 'FSSound.dll' module to the Modules folder of the sim. Or remove this module if already had installed it, because it is too old (from the FS98-FS2002 era) to be compatible with Win 10. At least in my case this works.

By "modern" I meant set in later years (jet Age) instead of the "classic " era. Okay Should you decide to go to HJG forums to seek tech support, it would be best if you let them know which flight sim FS2004, FSX, FSX Steam, or P3D you are using Might be the panel. I'll try a different one. Never had this issue with any other HJG planes and never with the DC-9. That is one of possibilities. That is why I asked you to let HJG forums know what panel you are using. If you say you never have problems with other variants of HJG DC-9s and you want to tackle the DC-9-10 problem on your own instead of seeking help from HJG forums, it would be good idea for you to compare aircraft.cfgs, panels, panel cfg, and everything between your working variants of other HJG DC-9s and your newly installed DC-9-10 so that you can spot what is wrong with DC-9-10. It can be panel or incorrect written aircraft.cfg or incorrect written panel.cfg or so on which you can spot if you do the comparisons. Regards, Aharon

So the problem was this. In the DC-9 panel gauges folder is one file that goes in Modules and another that goes to the main FS9 folder. I had put them both into Modules. My bad. Everything is great now.

Hello,
I see you got the problem fixed and I'm glad of that. I was going to say I use both the DC-9-10 and the -30 (aircraft, panel, and sound) just fine with Windows 10 and FS2004. And I want to say when I've posted questions or problems at the HJG forum, they always jump right in and help -- They are a good group. (Very much like the folks here at CalClassics!)
Take care, Kurt

Everything is great now. Mike So you should be able to spot difference in files and everything between inoperable DC-9-10 and other working variants of DC-9.
Looks like Kluddle guessed correctly about the module problem telling you not to put some sound.dll file into module
