I have a feeling that I once saw a white circle in the IS3 library. Does anyone know which file contains such an object? Thanks for your help.

Hi, I only know how to make them yourself: in ADE as a Custom Ground Poly. That works for both the circle and the landing area markings. After compilation you can use the Ground Polygon Wizard in ModelConverterX to tweak the visibility (and a lot of other settings if required).

Is it a 2D or 3D object? There are some circles in the small airport objects library, but I don’t know if any of those are solid, without gaps.

Thanks for your kind replies. As I'm not familiar with MDX, it will not be an option for me. Small airstrip objects library includes some of such circles. But these are done with drums or concrete pieces. So I have to stay with the actual Afcad created one, It isn't perfect as it doesn't allow to reduce or extended it easily. Thanks anyway for your advices.

It would not be difficult to make such things in Sketchup and using a scenery placement program they could be varied in size and sunk in the ground if desired.

Indeed, that would be another solution and may be easier to use, depending on what utilities one uses and one's workflow.
And just for completeness, the MCX step I mentioned is optional. Also a correction: I use a Custom Ground Line for them, not a Polygon.
The way I go about it for FS9 in Airport Design Editor is as follows. 1. Right-click on the airport design, click Add Helper Shape, choose Circle and set a Diameter. 2. Click add to place the circle, move and resize it if needed. 3. Right-click the circle (make sure it's selected) and choose Make Custom Ground Line. 4. A small window pops up to set the Number of Vertex to Draw. Set the number, I use 36, and click OK. 5. A large window pops up, this is the ADE-GP Ground Poly Editor. 6. Set the desired layer in the left upper corner, I use 24 (I think I once looked up what works). 7. A bit to the right, set the Line Width, for instance 5 meters. Group Number can be left in Auto. 8. Now you can select the Main Texture, to the right of Material (for FSX/P3D only). I use gp_White_20F, would have to retrace if that is stock material or if I once created it. 9. On the bottom, click OK and the circle is place at the airport surface. The helper shape can be deleted now and even at this stage, the finished circle can be dragged around to relocate it. Be sure all points are selected when doing so, after all it's a collection of linked straight lines (like all curves in FS9).

I don't know if this helps but El Prat is Barcelona's airport. I have a feeling that I once saw a white circle in the IS3 library. Does anyone know which file contains such an object? Thanks for your help.

yes, I'm aware of that, and it's intentionally placed there.
