Some days ago FlightSim released the old Lake Havasu City airfield addon for FSX. Through pure curiosity I installed the converted ADE and very few objects as they are shown on this site: www.airfields-freeman.com/AZ/Airfields_AZ_W.htm#havasuFurthermore the Lockheed L-749 "Lake Havasu City" is included in CalClassic "ail749" folder. So a good reason to add this place to FS9. Here you might read the whole history: arizona100.blogspot.com/2010/06/lake-havasu-city-arizonas-west-coast.htmlBut so much in advance: the former auxiliary Army airfield has been bought by Robert McCulloch in 1958. He was owner an oil company in Los Angeles. In 1964, McCulloch purchased two Lockheed L-049 Constellations and began free flights for prospective buyers who would spend 2 days touring the town site. McCulloch purchased a total of 6 Lockheed L-049 Constellations between 1964-66 so that at least 2 could be flying at any given time. Flights left numerous cities like Cleveland, Chicago, Seattle, Los Angeles and Dallas. Bernard

Yes, an interesting operation. A little too late for our AI traffic, someone asked me to add the repaint for their scenery project. I don’t know if it was ever released though.
