A strange thing has occurred. First off, I have two installs of FS9. One in the "classic" era and the second in the "modern" era. Suddenly, on the "classic" version, the door opening function, Shift-E, has stopped working. On the modern era FS9, the function works normally. Shift-E, Shift-E-2, etc. Also at the same time I lost MOST of the keyboard assignments. This included throttle, prop pitch, mixture, parking brake, wing views and a few others. Mystery as to how this may have occurred. Haven't added any new software lately.I WAS able to re-input all the missing functions. I had assumed the door function was included in the keyboard assgns however it doesn't seem to be.
Anyone know how I can regain this function ?
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks, Mike

Did you add the shift E to the assignments?
And the Shift E 2, etc, is covered by the Select assignment, but that might be default and cannot edited?

If nothing else, maybe try FSuipc (it's free & awesome), or, if you do have it, check key assignments there. Coould be a clash?

OK, problem solved. Looking at the Assignments list, I'd been unable to find a listing for "door" or "opening". Looked at it again this AM and discovered "Select exit". Well that's the one. Entered Shift+E and that was it. The Shift+2 and 3 followed automatically. Nice to be able to board passengers. The question remains though as to why I lost those assignments in the first place. hmmm
Thanks to all those who considered my dilemma.

This has happened to me on occasion. I assume an FS9 bug. One reason I keep a backup fs9.cfg file.

Just discovered that also missing is the "Shift + Z" function. displaying first the Lat and Lon, alt, airspeed, and with the second hit, the frame rates.
Don't believe these are in the "Assignments" listing. Are they in the CFG ?

That did it Tom. Thanks. Sure would like to know what caused the loss of assignments in the first place.
