I downloaded the dc7b once ages ago on my old pc and it worked perfectly, but now I have it on a new pc and I installed fsx sp1 and now all the gauges have disappeared! I tried other dc7s but they also didn't work.
M$ said that sp1 increases support for third party airplanes...
yeah right!
Is there any way to get the panel to work again?

Hi,
I just installed the latest version into SP1 about two weeks ago and it worked fine.
Make sure you have Z_DC6KM and Z_DC6KMTG folders inside your FSX/Gauges folder.

I tried downloading it again and now it's disappeared completely!  Also I have those two folders in the right place. |

Did you move the DC-6B CB-16, dc6pnlKMCC, and PropSound folders from the FSX/Aircraft folder into the FSX/SimObjects/Airplanes folder?

Ok I got it to to work now with gauges and all but now my landing gear won't extend, they will retract but not extend!

Can you press the G key and get them to extend?

I can't even get the gear to extend if I press ctrl+g to extend them manually, perhaps its just my computer, I'll try reinstalling. I added panels to the ai aircraft and I noticed they do this as well, so maybe it's time to reinstall, and if it doesn't work then I will continue to troubleshoot.
Also should I bother with sp1 or is it more touble than it's worth?

I am using SP1 and having no trouble. Can you extend the gear of the default aircraft? If so, delete everything having to do with these planes and panels and then do a reinstall of a single aircraft (like the UAL DC-7). Load the plane, then try it.

The default aircraft work but I left my folders rather disorganised so I can't tell the default stuff from the downloads, so I will reinstall and then try adding each airplane slowly back and see if that works. I am in need of a reinstall anyways because my atc window is not working properly among other things. I also would like to to say thanks for all your help so far.  |
