Hi - I am in the process of changing to a new ISP. I have updated my profile with the new email address, and also added a link to the flightsimpics part of my new webspace. However this does not update the link info for the various screenshots I have posted in these forums. For example this picture which I posted back in February: members.bordernet.com.au/~mikeward/Lifting_Bodies.jpgnow lives at: home.exetel.com.au/mikeward/Lifting_Bodies.jpgI don't want to modify all my screenshot posts, because that would bump every one of them, which is not a desirable outcome. My question is, does the ProBoards software give administrators a facility to run a script to make this sort of change? I had a look at the Help for Admins and the Censor Words tool seems to be the only thing that would do it. Cheers MikeW

Hi,
No, unfortunately that won't do it either. You'll either have to edit your posts (which does *not* bump the post), or post new links.
Hope this helps,

Many thanks Tom - Since editing my posts won't bump them I will do that...this forum isn't too bad, but at the Visual Flight one I have dozens of them, and editing there does reset the New Post flag - people could be searching back years until they came to edited one ! The VF forum uses a Snitz board, so it may be possible there, but I have never heard of it being done in any forum I visit.

Well, I have fixed my CalClassic posts and they didn't get bumped. So far I have checked and updated five pages out of 29 of my posts on the VF forums and every one of them appears as a new one. All I could do there was post a message telling my friends what was going on, along with a plea to make my post a sticky, and a request for anyone with Admin access to let me know if a script could be run to do the update without bumping the posts. I think I deserve a beer or two.... Cheers MikeW
