Hi there, Just released at Flightsim.com is a fabulous repaint representing the Fokker S-11 195 of the Dutch Naval Air Service - Elementary Flying School. The maker of this repaint is the honourable Jaap de Baare (a.k.a. spraycan). In the nineteen-fifties a number of these sturdy little trainers were on loan from the Royal Dutch Air Force and were mainly based on Naval Air Base "De Kooy" in the north west of Holland (hence the "K" in the tail). Here is one screenie of this wee gem, featuring the 1963 scenery of EHVB (Valkenburg Naval Base) The repaint can be downloaded at www.flightsim.com/kdl.php?fid=138348These are textures only. You will need the model of the Italian (license) built Macchi M-416 created by Italo D'Attomo and Giovanni Quai (M-416.ZIP). Cheers, Maarten Harry

Hmmmm.....sweet memories. First time I flew it was during the pilot selection program. After a brief (10 minutes) explanation you were supposed to demonstrate your flight aptitude. Hundreds of potential naval aviators saw their dreams smashed. Obviously I had some feeling for flying and made it into the training program and after 9 hours instruction went solo. Nice stable plane and good aerobatic capabilities. Thanks Spraycan, you did it again (what happened to the Neptune?)
cheers Jazz

Good question about the Neptune. Do you mean this one? Jaap ( Spraycan ) will visit me next week, I shall ask him. Harry
