Some shots during my test runs with 749s 749 Connie... What a beautiful plane to fly... Very first flight with MATS Connie, over South sea of Korea peninsula. Second flight with Air France L-749A from Salzburg to Innsbruck Third flight with L-749 of KLM with 1940s colors (by mgr) Indeed, It is a marvelous plane to fly. I'm enjoying times with this bird P.s. I have found that cockpit doors on right fuselage does not opens at external view (towerview/spot view). Only in VC, I see them open.. but outside nothing changes.(Key : Shift + E + 2) Anyone having same problem? or is this only my problem? P.S. Looking foward to realease of Paint kit also.. regards.

Hi,
Great shots.
I believe the text file says that the exterior cockpit door does not open - you only see it in the VC.
Hope this helps,

That is indeed correct Tom, there is no problem so to speak. The FE door opens only from the inside looking out....in the exterior view it remains closed. Due to the complex shapes on the Connie Manfred encountered distortions of the fuselage skin when ever a cut in the exterior was made to install a moving door (same goes for the cargo door) and he decided the perfect shape of the model is more important than a little show effect. Personally I would have loved a opening cargo door for example, with a few crates and a forklift but as a Repainter I know what tremendous pain in the rear a distorted skin can be. In case of the FE door the idea is that during engine start the FE can look through the opened door and visually check prop turns and safe engine start....then button up the hatch and she is ready to fly.
