Hello, i thought i'd make a post to say hi in a proper way. Well i'm Coenraad, live in Norway, though i am Dutch. 24 years old and since a few months into FSX online. I am an aviation fan, and been that since i was a little boy. I fly on the Hippyhappy Germany server, where we have a BoT atc. We have like 50+ people on every day, and i'm trying to promote the planes to them as well. Linked them on our forums. I found this plane when i someone actualy started talking about them. So i gotten interested to search for them again. This time i found your site (trough simviation i think it was). And boy am i a happy fellow now. I just fell in love after i downloaded the starliner, and not i have the super Constellation and the L749 Constellation as well. And i must say they blow me away. I have never thought it to be possible to find something that detailed, light on fps, and dedicated to for a freeware plane. I love it even more as she is fast enough to do Jobs on the server (we have a point system, where you do jobs. or fly in a Virtual airline) and when in time you gain points. So you can imagine it is all very real and With the Connie it makes it super. Well that is my short story. And thanks again for the plane. Keep up the good work P.s. if you are interested in the server www.fsxtools.de (english language site+server) feel free to hop by. Greetz Coenraad

Hello and welcome aboard. In addition to Manfred Jahn's great series of Connies, you will also find some other very nice flying aircraft in the Douglas DC series such as the DC-3, DC-4, DC-6 and the DC-7C. Most of these are done by Jens B. Kristensen and are very fps friendly. Hope you can spend more time on the CalClassic forum. We also have several of your fellow countrymen here; Maarten for one is very knowledgable about the DC series. You will find many different age groups flying here. I think I am the oldest being 87 but still fly like a 40 year old. ;D ;D Time now for my FO to wake me up so I don't overfly EHAM again. Jesse

Welcome aboard Greetz, There are a great bunch of people here. Wow! Jesse 87 years young, and I thought I was getting up there at 70. One thing about us older fellows we got to fly, and be around most of these propliners. Man, those were the days.

Hoi Coenraad, Welkom! I noticed that my friend Jesse mentioned me earlier on in this thread. I'm really flattered by his kind words. Actually I learned an awful lot from Jesse about flying big props: he was one of the guys flying them for decades. He knows everything of Boeing C-97 Stratofreighters from experience in particular. As a matter of fact I doubt if there's anything he doesn't know. Besides that, he has a great sense of humour and he likes Heineken beer. Hope you'll have a good time here in this community. Groeten, Maarten

One thing about us older fellows we got to fly, and be around most of these propliners. Man, those were the days. Jim Jim, when FAA retired me (involuntarily) lost my medical; My log books reflected 15,300 hours and all in props. I had all of that time except for 600 hours in Boeing C-97s, Douglas C-47s, DC-4 and DC-6B and a few hours in the MATS Connie. The 600 hours reflects my prewar (1937- 1941) and WWII Mustang Time. I do love the old props. Jesse

Thank you for the warm welcome guys. thank you very much. I envy you Jessy, for having flown those propliners. I like the modern airliners, but those old propliner ladies, those i just love. The DC 4-6-7, are they they same quality as the Connies from Manfred? And the flight models are just as good as the Connie moddels(or better ofcourse ) Greetz Coenraad.

Hi, Well, they are close. I wouldn't say they are quite up to that standard, but most people I know enjoy flying them.
