I'm currently flying DC-3 Airways' yearly World Rally. It's real fun to do and again they came up with scenic, challenging flights located all over the world. Well done, indeed. Below an impression of the African-leg: Dusty take-off from Oloitokitok, Kenia. After crossing the Tanzanian border, the right turn to 240 around Mt. Kilimanjaro. Passing mount Meru. Our track passes close to Lake Manyara. Leaving the Ngorongoro-crater. This is the largest 'caldera' of the world, and are in fact the remains of an 5 km high (!) ancient vulcano. Over the Serengeti, looking out for the Big Five... No wild animals...need FSX for that, I'm afraid. Finally, Lake Victoria is spotted from the cockpit. Overhead Mwanza runway for a downwind circuit. Lost sight of the runway on short final... Adventure! ;D Refueling for the positoning flight to the next rally-leg: La Palma. 'Guess these Air Tanzania pilots are not much surprised to see a Dak overhere.

Aah Jan, you recconized her? Indeed, this baby used to be flown by Kees Brusse all alone from Curacao. Some years ago I did the paint myself with some good help from friend/collegue Jaap de Baare. I'm not a 'real' repainter, but sometimes I try. Jaap tought me some tricks. If you like I could sent the files to you per e-mail? Can it be done throught CalClassic-messages? Its'not available on any site. Perhaps it will one day... cheers. Paul
