you still need to have a sound and panel folder in each of the aircraft folders. And in each of those is a single cfg file sound / panel which tells the sim where to find the actual sound or panel files are located. Stefan ps it is the Bristol170_32_CL folder that in the zip did not have a sound folder. That is exactly as I have it.....a sound and panel in both The reason I am asking if it is FS.X is because that version was re package by someone else as I don't have FS.X set up The rough version I sent had the folder sin both the CFE and CFL in both FS.X and FS.9 I have it here working perfectly Garry

OK Stefan
I've downloaded both and I see what you mean.not sure what happened there
We'll have to get the files corrected
Thanks
This sort of thing though is why I would prefer questions to be posed over at CBFS as that where we can keepan eye on everything.

Thanks again Stefan I've asked for the dowloads to be updated ;D Weird thing is...I dumped my Superfreighter off the laptop and then pulled in the pakage and it was there then and still is on my FS.9....when I check the folder I sent up it had vanished before I sent it so I must have done something stupid. I would have checked it before but was thrown as the only others that mentioned it were FS.X users and so I didn't think there was anything wrong with the FS.9 version which, in fact there is ATB Garry

Garry
Thank you for releasing these Bristols. My interest was sparked by the Airfix kit too. Re your remarks about VCs I too tend to fly mainly 2D and outside views. Perhaps it's a result of my making so many Airfix kits in my youth.

Thanks for the feedback HB I always saw these things from the outside so that is my memory . If I did make a VC it would have to be a proper one'like Rick Piper of David Maltby or not at all and I don't have the knowledge of how the systems work to be able to model them properly. So even if I wanted to I couldn't but perhaps one day I get into someone who want to only make VC.s to a high standard. Maybe one day I'll change my view and build up my knowledge ;D Garry

And did not realize you may not look for the feedback here. Strange things happen sometimes with packaging .... been there done that. In this case it was a very easy fix anyways and most seasoned Sim-Addicts probably caught the missing folder right away when one came up a little too quiet. I certainly understand your point on rather not doing a VC that is not up to the standard of the otherwise excellent airplane. Creating a working VC is almost like making an entire airplane....even tougher maybe. Cheers Stefan

Hi Stefan THe pack should be fixed now I'm trying to keep an eye on the various forums but if I might miss something. I'll still give answers where I can but the panel, sound, and flight model and testing were done by other team members and the are unlikely to see these posts. We are all lurking at CBFS ;D ATB Garry

Garry, many thanks for the B170 - a very welcome Christmas present. We had Silver City operating them over our house on the way out from EGHI to Cherbourg (they also flew to the Isle of Wight (Ryde airport?) for a few weeks one year. Wonderfully noisy, although nothing in comparison to Aquilla's Solents coming down the road at rivet-counting height on short finals. Oddly enough, they got mentioned in a letter to the local paper this week when in reply to the usual complaints about local "noise pollution" (we have Trislanders on the Alderney run), someone pointed out that in the right conditions, an incoming Frightener could be heard in Southampton before it had crossed the IOW.

Hope you have fun The I.O.W. service was I think 1958 and used Bembridge. They also tried Stranraer-Larne.......whatever the local airports were there......West Freugh perhaps?? Again not a success..but they tried Often forgotten now is that at Weekends in the summers of 1961/62 Lydd was busier than Heathrow. Five years later it was all but over when in 1967 the car ferry was cut right back and the buisness sold to become British Air Ferries...... the last car ferry left Lydd in 1970 Garry

Thanks for the Freighter Garry I've been off line for a week or so while we've been shifting, and it was a pleasant surprise to find it waiting to be downloaded. You've done an excelent job, it's a joy to fly and I love the sounds ;D Thanks again. Pete.

Hi! I read the discussion about VC:s. I also see Garrys point of wanting to do a good job. I had an early version of the Connie 749 no VC and tolerated that because it was a wonderful airplane. But when the the latest 749 VC version came it was a "be there" experience. And that's why i mostly fly it VC specially on takeoff and landing. But I realize that it takes a separate panel team to make a VC. I'll probably try the Bristol just because it's so special Are there any VC planes on CBFS?
