I have not heard of this one and thought that some of you might have. My brother was returning from Japan ending his military stint and flew this on his last leg to the east coast.

Hi Milton,
Nice shot! I've never seen a good pic of a 20th Century DC-4 before (that I can remember!).
We have a 20th Century L-1049 in the AI fleet, doing charter work.
Here is the entry from the book "Forgotten Flights" (about the US nonsked airlines):
"Based in Burbank, CA and Las Vegas, NV. 1946-1963. A passenger charter operator until 1950 when purchased by North American Airlines. While irregular scheduled passenger service was provided by North American, charter service continued using the 20th Century moniker with DC-4 equipment, primarily for the military. After North American went out of business in 1957 (using the name Trans American at the time), charter operations were restarted shortly thereafter, again using the Twentieth Century name. The re-start used L-1049 equipment across the Pacific, primarily for the military. DC-3, DC-4, DC-6, L-1049 equipment."
Hope this helps,

That is a North American/Transamerican livery. North American sold some of their DC-4's to Reeve, and they liked it enough that they kept it. Hope this helps,
