Are those kits available, or are they part of your stored cache?

Dave, that photo on the console looks familiar. Is that the Doctor?

Jesse, I left that picture on there to see if your eyesight had deteriorated. You still got it, sir. But no thats not the doctor; rather its my 2nd wife from Michigan since 2005. And Tom the TWA model was a built-up I bought from a guy in New Jersey - 20 years ago. It had all the parts but it was in terrible shape. A lot of putty and sanding with an air brushing of metalizer and some detailed decal work (couldn't do that now, my eyes aren't as good as Jesse's) brought it back to life. I carved the stand (Allyn style) from cherry wood. As far as my "cache" goes I do have 2 of those in my collection that are still kits - one is a bagged Lincoln In'tl #102 (Hawk molds) from Hong Kong and the other is a Hawk #702 Connie. No decals - the Hawk kit instructions suggested the modeler should paint his "favorite airline scheme" to the model. Hawk's #704 Convairliner similarly had no decals either ( I have a couple of unbuilt kits of them too) In 2000 the Connie kit sold to collectors at $80+ and the Convair $60-80. No idea what they are worth today; I doubt they have appreciated much. Probably can find them on Ebay but I've never checked. I don't collect kits anymore - I have all the ones I wanted (or wished I had when young). Simulations don't collect dust or take up as much space

Thanks. And simulations are much more forgiving of my fumble thumbs...

Wish I could do the same with my Connies, but unfortunately I haven't had the time to assemble them yet, and I think they're a bit too large to put in front of my computer as well <.<

Mine is 1/72 scale and even if it was to big I would use it anyways. Solid mahogany. Had it now going on 12 years.

Very nice looking lady, Dave. I still have the picture of Sharon and your granddaughter when she was an infant. She must be about seven or eight now.And Tom the TWA model was a built-up I bought from a guy in New Jersey - 20 years ago. It had all the parts but it was in terrible shape. ;DI;m with you on that one. Lue and I have three daughters, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Grandpa gets hit hard at Christmas time. Jesse Forgot to include my desktop model. It is a replica of one of our AACS Flight Check aircraft that our alumni puts out. This little sucker is solid diecast and weighs in at 8 pounds.
