Hello, I've worked on this one before working on AA 749. But lack of pictures and sources for repaint work, I had to postpone the release of this aircraft. (Especially on upper wing textures.) And with help of Calclassic Members and some other sources of 1940~50s, I could finish the repaint. Thanks to all members of Calclassic. Here are some previews. Okay.. this is it.. G-ALAL 'Banbury' As seen on other types that were operated during 40/50s, Reg No. on upper side wing were written through the whole wings. So I have concluded that the same design would be on the L-749. Regards.

Worth trying Flight Global for wing details. Certainly when the Strats were delivered with this paint scheme the wing reg was only on the more usual starboard outer upper, post outer lower.
It might be that the "whole wing" scheme, as on some earlier Yorks, was only aircraft painted pre 1946.

Coenraad // Yes. It will be available for download.. Bill // Thanks for the details. I have tried to find the sources through out the web. Google, Flight global, AIrliners... etc. But was not lucky to find one to show the upper and lower wing details of the bare metal scheme. But as I remember, Avro yorks were not the only one with whole wing scheme. I've seen Douglas DC-3 with Whole wing scheme. Some lancastrians had the scheme also. So... in conclusion. I have to postpone the release of this bird again until I get the exact scheme and picture of the 40s bare metal scheme.
