Hi! Actually I was register to this forum to ask where the Starliner file can be loaded because it isn't present at avsim or flightsim. But then I was remember to the old forum rule for searching first. I have found the alternate file name at flightsim and the download is in progress. So the only thing I have to say: I like the idea of your Classic Theme, and I want to say many thanks to all of you which were working on the Super Constellation. A friend of mine and myself are very enthusiastic the last two weeks since I was found the CalClassic web site. Go on with it! Greetings from Germany Haddock

Hi! Thanks for the welcome. The Starliner is running well but with the first look anyhow I like more the 1049g because it is so lovely complicated in the fuel system. Also I like the snup nose of the fictionally silver TWA version. Had made wunderful long range flights with the "G", e.g. Kathmandu-Hannover, trapped in the valleys of the Himalaya in 20.000 ft - it was amazing. Maybe not 100 percent accurate for handling a Connie, but I reached my destination without cheating (and most times 20 kts wind ahead). Flight time was 15 hours for roundabout 3600 nm with 2700 lbs remaining fuel... ;D As I looked around on CalClassics I found a realistic panel for the Constellation (vncon20.zip) but if I understanding it correct it doesn't fit to the "l1049g.zip" I have installed (and the Starliner). Can someone give me an answer, please, before I tried and mess up my FS installation? TIA. Greetings Haddock

The 2d panel will fit, but the virtual cockpit must be designed into to model.

Hi,
There are gauges in the current Connie and Starliner panels that are required for the plane to operate properly. You cannot just switch panels.
Hope this helps,

Hi! Ok, it is like I assumed. It's a pitty, the realistic panel (2d) would be the ice on the cake. But it reduced the fun in no way. Many thanks for your quick responses. Greetings Haddock

Sorry, I was wrong. Most times you can trade out 2D panels for better looking ones, but the Connies are an obvious exception.

Well ...."nothing is impossible" but in case of our Connies it would require some serious surgery to make sure that all required files are still in the right place and are being called up properly by the sim.
Panel swaps between airplanes normally only requires copying the entire panel folder from one into the other or pointing the sim to the desired one via an "alias" line in the panel.cfg
That approach will not work on the Connies because hardly anything about them is "standard FS"
Otherwise you will end up with basically unusable but pretty airplane junk.
You can if you are a bit skilled with editing the panel.cfg incorporate the bitmap from the older panel and move our gauges around to fit on that canvas and add the side-views.
Glad you like the series. Stefan

Hi! Thanks for that explanations. Unfortunately my free times varies heavely so I havn't so much time to digger myself deeper into the model building in FS. I was very happy to complete my first livery repaint a couple of days before: This D-AHLT was one of the first airplanes I was working on in real life. I missed this livery for the "Greatest Airliners 727" from Flight1 and I was lucky to be able to make this repaint. Here is a picture from 1988 in the airliners.net: www.airliners.net/photo/Hapag-Lloyd/Boeing-727-2K5-Adv/0759190/&sid=c3e9674b5450bbd9baf34453e752aa9dAnd here is my repaint nearly on the same position in front of our hangar: www.nos57.de/calclassic/d-ahlt_fs9-texture.jpg(If you like the repaint, it can be loaded from avsim or flightsim by this file name: hlf_727-200_v10.zip (FS9 only)) The joke on this: During searching for a repaint tutorial I was found the CalClassic website, and since completing the repaint the B727 is getting dust on its wings because the SuperG is ruling. Well, I'm not that enthusastic time table flyer, last but not least because of the less time. But I love it to planing long flights with a succesfully result which is now going into another dimension for me with the SuperG. Next step will be to let the GPS switched off completly and return to the classic navigation. I have made a lot of pics from my Himalaya flight unfortunately with the fictionally TWA livery so I don't know if you want to have something like this in your screenshot forum. If that is ok, I can upload them in the next days. (In the meantime I have installed the Lufthansa livery on the SuperG which fits better to me. ) PS: I have tried to follow your forum rules for uploading pictures. If something is wrong please don't be angry. Tell me and I will correcrt it next time. Greetings Haddock

Hi, This picture is perfect. There are no limitations on content in the Screen Shot forum, except the main focus of the pictures should be propliners. So post them if you like. Hope this helps,
