G'Day All
In my never ending quest to have everything, I notice that there is a Twin Beech float plane in a Rusty Myers paint scheme for FSX on Simviation. Can I use the textures in FS-9 ?. It is a complete model and as Australia must have the world's slowest dial up, 29 meg is a fairly large download for us. I will go ahead and try it but any advise on how to do it if it is at all possible would be great. Also, is Milton's AT-11 still under construction? as it is yet another version of the Twin Beech I am looking forward to. Sorry if I sound greedy, but this hobby is addictive!.
Thanks, Trev. (vhbob)

Usually, FS9 planes that can be used under the X and their repaint both work well in both sims, so no problem, I believe. As for the dial-up problem... no solution there, I fear. Italy too, back when dial-up was the main internet hook-up, was (and remains, for those still bound by it) deadly slow. God bless the ADSL.

The only caveat to using FSX textures in FS9 is that sometime DDS textures have to be converted to BMP DXT3 or 32 bit textures. FS9 can't read the DDS format.
Hope this helps,

Australia must have the world's slowest dial up, (vhbob) Too right, cobber! I moved to a subsidised ISDN/satellite setup, and then Telstra decided to scrap ISDN. On looking around I found Exetel offering a wireless connection which piggybacks on the Optus 3G network. NB this is not internet-over-mobile-phone, which is cripplingly expensive. Have a look at www.exetel.com.au and see if you are in their coverage area. I have used it now for a couple of years and have no complaints. In fact, when I get the VOIP set up, I can get shot of Telstra and their landlines altogether ATB MikeW

G'Day all
I have downloaded and installed the Rusty Myers textures to FS-9 and they work well. I seem to have gained a quilted headliner and a working transponder in both the cargo and passenger amphibians I have added to my fleet. Thanks for the Internet suggestions Mike I will investigate further. where did you get that accent?, the septics wont be able to understand you ! Thanks again to all for the prompt replies,
Trev. (vhbob)

G'Day Mike
This could get out of hand but I get the idea. On the original topic, I have now found a Kenora Airways Twin Beech floatplane and have got so cocky with my FSX to FS-9 repaints that I have installed that one too. Keep them coming!.

P.S. Are you still above water ? we have a drought down here.
