It's not that easy to miss actually!! These are superb pictures. It is really incredible how fast things were moving in aviation technology at this time, considering WWII had only just ended barely three years earlier. What also comes across is how you had pure jet/turbo prop technology developing rapidly for the military while the civil airliner scene was very established in the recip prop era. Lastly, the hats and coats - look how well the children are dressed - make this wonderful nostalgia. Thanks very much for posting.

Great pictures indeed! The fact that they are 'wrinkled' just adding to their charm. Talking about "kid in a candystore" and B-36 and DC-3: two weeks ago I visited the Castle Air Museum near Atwater, CA and at that site there is still the possibility to make a photo of an B-36 and DC-3 in one picture! Great museum.
